The Implementation of Village Community Empowerment in Indonesia: A Social Capital Perspective

This research aims to understand the implementation of village community empowerment in Indonesia and its implication, which were very interesting due to the ontological and sociological level based on social capital perspectives. The problem was analyzed using a qualitative method. Data were collected through observation and documentation. Data analyzed using interactive steps were data reduction, data display, and data verification, supported by triangulation. The results indicated that it was essential to implement village community empowerment in Indonesia to provide stakeholders with information to update regulations and sanctions. This result provides inputs for making better regulations and policies for state agencies as public officials and practitioners.
